The Daisy Shirt Dress in Collaboration with Claire Luxton
The Shirt Dress is an iconic wardrobe staple that you'll reach for time and time again. Our latest style is inspired by a 1950's silhouette, cut from GOTS certified, lightweight, organic cotton and printed with delicate daisies and raindrops. The print has been designed in collaboration with renowned contemporary artist Claire Luxton.
Claire Luxton is a talented British multi disciplinary artist. I completely fell in love with her daisy chain artwork over lock down. This piece is particularly special to me as it reminded me of the precious moments spent with my daughter during the early days of the pandemic. We would make it our daily mission to go out and pick daisies and make chains for our hair. The grass was often dewy and fresh if we decided to venture out early in the morning. It reminded me of the peaceful and nostalgic times from my own childhood and our daily outings became so precious and memorable to us both.
After being introduced by the beautiful Martine Tanguy, who represents Claire's art as well as many other young artists, Claire photographed some beautiful rain drops for a collaborative project so that I could recreate her initial inspiration onto cloth. She allowed me to use the daisies from her original artwork to create this gorgeous piece of textile art! Links of daisy chains intertwined with dewy raindrops. Spiralling and circling around the soft organic cotton. We worked with a GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards) certified print mill to produce this wonderful cloth sustainably.

The dress itself has a semi fitted bodice, with a classic shirt collar and elbow length, cuffed sleeves. The skirt features subtle box pleats which gives the dress plenty of volume and movement at the hem whilst being flattering over the hips. The dress is fully lined in organic eco-cotton and features invisible side seam pockets and a coordinating detachable tie belt. Style this stunning Daisy Shirt Dress with sandals for everyday wear or dress up with heels and stunning millinery for an elegant occasion wear outfit.
