From an intimate registry office ceremony in London to a formal cathedral or chapel wedding; a relaxed celebration at a country house to three glorious days on Lake Como or the Amalfi Coast, each setting calls for something considered, individual and entirely right for the moment.

The evening before might be a beautifully cut dress with a subtle nod to the bridal gown to come: feminine, soft and romantic, with effortless lines and perfectly judged proportions. The ceremony itself may call for something more significant. And the following morning, something light, relaxed and joyful.

Whatever your wedding looks like, the starting point is always the same: beautiful clothes that make you feel entirely yourself.

We are not a traditional bridal house, and deliberately so.

We specialise in dressing women for weddings in all their forms: city ceremonies, second weddings, registry office celebrations, destination weddings, vow renewals and beautifully unconventional occasions.

And, should you wish, we offer the same personal approach to every part of your wedding wardrobe. The skirt suit worn to your registry ceremony receives every bit as much consideration as the gown you change into that evening.

MADE TO ORDER GOWNS

For the ceremony, the reception and every photograph in between, our Made to Order gowns begin with an existing Suzannah silhouette, commissioned especially for you in your chosen colour or cloth.

We specialise in a beautifully executed, modern timeless dress which clean perfectly placed lines. A silhouette which is incredibly flattering, perfectly cut and beautifully made.

CIVIL CEREMONY & REGISTRY OFFICE LOOKS

Not every wedding calls for a traditional gown. A civil or registry office ceremony can be an opportunity for something with a little less bridal formality but every bit as much presence.

Our beautifully structured separates, coat dresses and effortlessly elegant dresses are particularly suited to these occasions: polished and feminine, with the precision of tailoring balanced by softness and ease.

They are also pieces with a life beyond the wedding day. Styled differently, they become timeless favourites to return to for years to come.

THE REHEARSAL DINNER

The evening before deserves an outfit, and a mood, of its own.

Softer and more relaxed than the ceremony, it’s a moment to echo the wedding’s romance without revealing too much. A dress might nod to bridal through colour, fabric or silhouette: feminine, romantic and effortless.

Or take more creative liberty: a bolder colour, an unexpected neckline, a fabric you wouldn’t choose for the ceremony.

Either way, choose a dress you’ll love wearing to dinner long after the wedding weekend.

THE MORNING AFTER

The morning after calls for ease.

There may still be friends and family in town, a long brunch ahead, coffee and pastries in the garden, or one final lunch before everyone begins the journey home. It is a moment for clothes that feel romantic and special without requiring too much thought.

Our lighter tea dresses, relaxed separates and playful sets lend themselves beautifully to the occasion.

They are often the pieces our brides return to afterwards, becoming favourites for holidays, summer lunches and anniversaries — a lovely continuation of the wedding wardrobe rather than its conclusion.

HEADPIECES & ACCESSORIES

The right headpiece can transform a bridal look.

We work with some of Britain’s most accomplished milliners to create bespoke headwear to complement your outfit, from a sculptural hat or elegant headband for a city ceremony to a beautifully considered veil designed to sit perfectly with your neckline and hairstyle.

We recommend discussing headwear during your first consultation rather than treating it as a finishing thought. Veil length, scale and proportion are most successful when considered alongside the dress from the beginning, allowing the entire silhouette to feel harmonious.

EXPLORE THE COLLECTION

Ready to Wear pieces are beautifully finished, off-the peg pieces and available to purchase directly from our collection. You can buy them from our Marylebone boutique or we ship globally.

Sometimes, to make these pieces absolutely spot on for you, all that is needed is the smallest adjustment: a waist nipped in, a hem turned or a subtle refinement through the darts that transforms how a piece sits on the body — and, importantly, how it photographs.

Our specialist in-house alterations service can make these final refinements for you. The refinements are additonal and charged by the hour.

Made to Order is a commission of an existing Suzannah design in its original silhouette and size, created especially for you in a different colour or cloth. We work with fabrics that are either the same as the original or have similar qualities of weight, movement and performance, ensuring that the integrity and intended line of the design are retained.

Importantly, Made to Order is not Made to Measure. We do not create a new pattern from your individual body measurements. Your chosen piece is cut from our existing pattern in your selected Suzannah size which can then be expertly altered and refined to fit you by our tailors if required.

Custom & Made to Measure offers a greater degree of personalisation. Beginning with an existing piece from our Ready to Wear, Atelier or Archive collections, each design is re-cut exactly to your measurements. Its proportions can also be reworked: perhaps a more dramatic length, a new neckline or sleeve, or a rebalanced silhouette.

These changes go beyond alteration, requiring additional pattern work and, where appropriate, toile fittings. Throughout, our team will advise on what works technically and aesthetically, preserving the balance and beauty of the original design while making it distinctly yours.

BRIDAL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The best starting point is a private consultation at our Marylebone boutique, where you can try on styles in person and talk through fabric, colour and silhouette with our team. If you're not UK-based, we offer the same consultation over video call, so location isn't a barrier to getting the same level of guidance.

Yes. Made To Order pieces are cut to your individual measurements rather than a standard size chart, and we can accommodate up to a UK Size 22 (US Size 18). Because every commission is fitted to you specifically, adjustments like a raised waistline, added structure, or a longer sleeve are built in from the outset rather than fought for in alterations afterwards.

Yes. Our Marylebone boutique holds our entire range of Ready To Wear pieces, as well as all of our Couture styles, including archive pieces, in a UK Size 8, available to try during a private consultation. It's the easiest way to get a feel for fabric, cut and finish before committing to your own version. Book your consultation here.

Yes, this is really the point of Made To Order. Every piece can be tailored to you, whether that's the neckline, the sleeves or the length, and changes are drawn from across our existing archive of silhouettes: the line of one skirt, the drape of another gown, the cut of a particular top. From there we bring in your choice of colour and fabric to build something that's entirely your own rather than an off-the-shelf style with minor tweaks.

Made To Order pieces typically take around eight weeks from your first consultation, which allows time for the fittings that get the fit exactly right. We're not a traditional bridal house, so our lead times are considerably shorter than a conventional bridal gown, while still giving our demi-couture styles the fitting process a wedding day genuinely deserves.
