The Rimini is a beautiful two toned wide brimmed straw hat in black.

This super stylish piece of headwear is hand blocked in England after being made from cuenca weave straw using artisan techniques by a small local community in Ecuador.

Trimmed with black cord, held in place with a wooden toggle. 

The Inner elasticated cotton ribbon helps secure a comfortable fit.

Designed in collaboration with talented British milliner Ruth Merlin Ravenscroft.

This extra large brim black panama straw hat is handwoven in Ecuador where our straw supplier works closely with with the weaving community. The weavers work at home and the basic woven bodies are then washed and treated. Most colours including black are achieved using natural plant based dyes and any water used in the process is disposed of under government ecological guidelines. The crown of the hat is made from a very fine weave and exceptional quality vintage brisa weave straw, and has been hand shaped. It is trimmed with a natural cotton cord and finished with a wooden toggle. The inner fitting is made of soft elasticated cotton ribbon for a comfortable fit. The size is approximately 57cm and can be adjusted to fit your head size upon request. This is a timeless heirloom piece that would look as stunning worn at Ascot or Henley as it would as pure poolside glamour. Care. This hat is best stored carefully between wearing packed in tissue in its box. Avoid leaving it out in the sun when not worn as the straw will become brittle over time. This can be avoided by giving it a slight mist of water occasionally and letting it dry thoroughly before re packing. Any coloured straw will fade over time and with a lot of expose to the sun.
