Trim: Cotton Rayon band with Panama straw flower
This hat is best stored carefully between wearing packed in tissue in its box.
Pack this hat upside down with plenty of tissue paper underneath to support the brim.
Avoid leaving it out in the sun when not worn as the straw will become brittle over time.
This can be avoided by giving it a light mist of water occasionally and letting it dry thoroughly before re packing.
Any straw left in the sun will either fade or become a deeper tone of gold over time.
When this eventually happens it adds charm and character to a casual hat.
One Size Only
The inner fitting is made of soft elasticated ribbon for a comfortable fit. The size is approximately 57cm and can be adjusted to fit your head size upon request. The Camellia has a chic 70’s vibe that works as beautifully with a sharp tailored suit as a soft floral dress. Our straw supplier visits and works closely with the artisan weaving community.The straw bodies are woven at home or in community groups and then washed and treated.Most colours including this beautiful light gold are made using vegetal dyes and all water used in the process is disposed of under government environmental guidelines.
The leather band has been hand cut by a husband and wife team of artisan makers in Shropshire.The decorative thong tie can also be used to attach a silk of dried flower. The buttery soft tan band is made of the finest quality repurposed couture leather. Using up leftover raw materials that have already been produced. This not only honours a core principal of sustainability it allows us to create luxurious and unique products.
